Dayana

Essay 271 • Mar 28th 2018

When I approached Dayana about shooting her while skateboarding, she invited me to the skate park twenty minutes away where she first learned how to skate in Gahanna, Ohio.

We hung out for a couple hours, talking about her plans to move to California and be a part of the skate scene there. She is devoted to skating and it was inspiring to watch her be so free while she skated through the park, never letting a fall get in the way.
