For me, sometimes I just need to travel to a place where I can stand in the earth and gaze forward without my eyes having to focus. A place where I can give my eyes a break. And that is how we spent our vacation in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Gazing, together and apart. Gazing off of the resort. Gazing off of the sand. Through the water, into infinity.
My favorite way to decompress- letting my eyes wander, watching people, and having no commitments to anything that requires group participation. Surrounded by rich tones, warm wind, and fresh fruit. Our room for the week became our sanctuary. The daily walk from there to the beach became our ritual. Coconuts gave us life while our bodies and minds could fully rest.
