Chaun and I met in New York, and she recently moved to San Diego, which is where I grew up. When I was visiting I suggested we collaborate on something creative together. We met in Encinitas, which is a cute little surf/skate town on the beach, and she showed up with a trunk full of vintage clothing. It was incredibly nostalgic and romantic shooting on the sun-drenched streets I wandered about in my late teens. Visiting San Diego is always a breath of fresh air, and Chaun perfectly embodies the rebellious, youthful spirit of my hometown.
