In the haze of a layover I explored the boundaries of Maṭār Ḥamad al-Duwalī, more commonly known as Doha International Airport. Alone, these images express the ghostlike disconnection a traveler feels when stranded in this halfway home. Together, they convey the airport's definite structure, and how it houses a dreamy, indefinite wait for the travelers within. All images were shot on Kodak 35mm film.
Chris da Canha is a 29 year-old skateboarder and photographer from Durban, South Africa, living in Seoul, South Korea. Working in fashion and editorial photography, Chris spends his free time walking the streets thin, hunting the odd and beautiful moments to which they are home.
