Les Arènes De Picasso

Essay 346 • Oct 18th 2018

Shot in the suburbs of Paris, “Les Arènes De Picasso” is a fashion editorial highlighting the utopian and futuristic architecture of a housing estate in Noisy-Le-Grand, famous for its post-modern architecture. This photo story also aims to highlight the creativity and talents of the African community in France. As an African who was born in France as well, it meant a lot for me to go back there and connect with Black artists who have had similar experiences and the same drive to tell diverse, complex and interesting stories about Africa and Africans through photography and fashion.
