Seventeen times a year, Ballina Jockey Club holds regional Thoroughbred racing for the local community. This race features horses from local breeders and trainers. At this race meet in March 2024, the jockeys rode eight times that day on different horses, in front of a handful of spectators.


Kenny Smith is an internationally acclaimed lifestyle and portrait photographer based in Australia.

Kenny is drawn to people, experiences and feelings. He prefers an authentic approach with a human element to his storytelling, and enjoys shooting emotive, real scenes of life and people in a refined and highly produced way.
