The Butterfly Effect

Essay 55 • Jun 20th 2016

Natalie's message is all about daring to embrace and accept yourself 100%. I thought she would be perfect for this editorial concept, which is inspired by the natural Southern California landscape and the feeling of being rooted in love for oneself and the earth. The clothing features sustainable products from local collections made with plant-based materials and plant dyes, gender neutral/non-binary clothing, and menswear via the new We Shall Run showroom in Echo Park. I wanted to bring streetwear out into nature to soften it up.
