Katja Kremenić, b. 1982 in Maribor, Slovenia.

After spending half of her life on an island of Cres in Croatia Katja moved to Ljubljana to study communication and media.

Her work has been featured in numerous print and online publications such as Neon Magazine, Der Greif, REVS magazine, DressLab, KaltBlut, Blenda, LPV, The Tourist, BUnch, The Meander, No Thoughts, KNEON, MC Photo Annual, in addition to many others. Two series of her photographs were exhibited or won Honorable Mentions in 2011’s and 2012’s photography awards.

Rip Tides follows a concept previously explored in Corse Noir, a story shot during a month-long travel around the island of Corsica, France. That series won an honorable prize at this years Slovenia Press photo award where it was selected by the international jury consisting of Jon Jones (Sunday Times Magazine), Gali Tibbon (photographer), Moises Saman (Magnum Photos) and Odd Andersen (AFP).
