Monument

Essay 46 • May 25th 2016

Two months ago a friend and I decided to go on a road trip. Starting in Los Angeles, we drove through Nevada, Utah and Arizona to see some of the classic American historical sites that we had yet to visit. Around 2,500 miles were driven over six days. The 35mm and medium format photos that comprise this essay are glimpses into some of the most tourist-saturated places in the United States as well as the deserted towns that lie along the way.
