Central Station

Essay 23 • Jan 14th 2016

Growing up around the film industry, I always was inspired by characters and cinema. What inspired me the most were strong female heroines and men on a mission. I never thought once about photography, a film school drop out I joined the union and was a prop assistant on film and tv for four years until I tore my Achilles' tendon on set. Unable to work and creatively unstimulated I started to take photos with an old film camera. I found myself more and more intrigued by human emotion and the idea of capturing a moment in just one photo. My art consists mostly of babes in motels, passionate lovers, hunky men, Americana, suburban secrets and cinematic locations, all things lynchian and that get me excited.
