The Queens of Baltimore

Drag has a rich history in Baltimore and it can be seen in many ways, from the familial connectivity found in the current wave of performers across the city to its ability to engrain itself into the culture of the city. Primarily following Shaunda Leer, a prominent drag queen who hosted a weekly drag spotlight for various performers, I wanted to document an aspect of this vibrant scene and show the hard work, creativity, and determination that goes into entertaining in the world of drag.































 

Josh Sinn is a Maryland-based photographer and high school teacher who received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Working primarily with film, he enjoys documenting all aspects of life in Baltimore, especially focusing on people and their environments.
