Places Long Gone

Spaces hold stories, history and directions for those that have been or pass them by. There is a comfort and a mystery in discovering a dwelling or a store front made silent when its value is no longer held, or streets waiting for blocks to be razed for the next overpriced bland residential development. All images were captured on 120 format film across a span of three years.








 

Andrew Boyle is an Australian raised / New York-based photographer, whose obsession with the perfect capture whether it’s backstage at fashion week, in the pit at a music festival or on set, keeps him hungry for the rush of capturing the raw personality of a subject. Andrew has photographed A$AP Rocky, James Murphy, 2 Chainz, The Blonds, Whoopi Goldberg, Miley Cyrus, Jeremy Scott, Tracy Morgan and more for publications including The Music, WWD, Schon! and Nylon. His first photo book, ‘Heroes & Villains’, is out now through Smith Street Books and Rizzoli.
