Don’t Wish Me Well

In this story, I try to grasp the feeling of relations in transition, seen through the perspective of two young adolescent girls. On the road to becoming women, but perhaps in two very different directions. Through a cinematic approach I experiment with light and candid shots to approximate a glimpse into their lives on the path to adulthood.

Cecilia Riis Kjeldsen is a freelance photographer currently based in Oslo, Norway. She graduated from the Bilder Nordic School of Photography with a major in narrative storytelling.

Experimenting with genres such as art and documentary her work focuses on identity, social issues and psychology. She is not afraid of try out new ways of expressions, seen through videos or adding paint, acid and archival materials to her imagery.
