Autumn Verses

Essay 93 • Dec 7th 2016

I use the iPhone to shoot. I like the informality of it – making images for me has always been personal. It’s a record of the day, place, and friends for me to remember.

These images are from our recent trip to a seaside two hours away from Tokyo. We left Tokyo worrying about the rain forecast but ended up having everything except rain – thick heavy clouds, blue sky, and burning sunset. Five of us were running up and down the shore, marking the end of summer to begin autumn.
